OUR GROWTH TRACK

River of Life's mission is to reach people in the Alexander City area and in the unreached nations of the world with the life-giving message of Jesus that they might become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our Growth Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your final destination in fulfilling your life's mission, we want to help you along each step of the way.

 1st Down - Joining the Team: 

• Newcomer’s Reception - At various times Pastor Mike Waldrop and his wife Theresa will host a Newcomer’s Reception, an informal introduction to River of Life Worship Center. This gives opportunity for couples and individuals who are new to the church to gather for in order to get acquainted and learn more about River of Life.

• Joining the Team - a class taught by Pastor Mike gives you a basic introduction to the ministry of River of Life that will help you understand church membership. This Class covers five areas: Our Salvation, Our Statements of Belief, Our Strategy, Our Structure and Our Values. This class is offered as needed.

2nd Down - Making Forward Progress:

• Foundation Stones - If you are a new believer and want to make spiritual progress in your Christian walk we recommend you go through the Foundation Stones Book and study guide. It will help you build a strong foundation in your spiritual life. It is designed to help you through the essential beliefs every Christian needs to find success in their walk with Christ. Material cost - $15

• Life Groups - Life Groups are the key to getting connected at River of Life. Life groups are small groups that meet in homes on the 2nd and 4th Sunday night of each month. They involve fellowship, bible discussion, and refreshments.  

• Purpose Driven Life Independent Study – this is a study that can be done at home. It is a study of the 5 God-given purposes of your life. Pastor Rick Warren's book, The Purpose Driven Life, is the curriculum for this study. A study guide is provided. Material costs - $15

3rd Down - Doing Your Assignment:

• S.H.A.P.E – the SHAPE booklet is designed to help you discover the ministry God wants you personally to fulfill in the church. It is designed to help you discover your S.H.A.P.E., i.e., your Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences, in order to effectively do the ministry God created you to do. You can ask for a free copy, fill it out, and turn it back in to Pastor Mike who will be glad to go over it with you in order to help you find your place in the body of Christ.

Touchdown! - Putting Points on the Board:

• Evangelism Training – The ultimate outreach goal for every Christian should be to lead others to Christ. Throughout the year evangelism training will be made available in order to train you how to share your faith with others and know how to lead a person to salvation in Christ. Times and dates will be announced throughout the year.
