A Challenge to Persevere

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. “ Hebrews 12:1-3

We all have a race to run as Christians. Sometimes the race course is smooth, sometimes downhill, and sometimes uphill. But we should always keep the goal in mind which is to reach the finish line where Jesus is waiting with open arms cheering you all along the way. We also have the ever present Holy Spirit enabling and empowering us to persevere when the race gets tough are we are fatigued almost ready to throw in the towel. And of course our Heavenly Father who watches over us never putting more on us than He knows we can endure. A good thought to remember when the race gets tough is that Jesus gave His all for me so in turn I will give my all for Him. So run the race, persevere, and stay the course because it will be worth it all when we see Jesus!
